Jacen Flynn's A-Hole Triangle Choke Escape

Jacen Flynn: A-Hole Triangle Choke Defense

Jacen Flynn describes how to use his A-Hole Triangle Choke defense.

In this video Jacen shows one of his escapes for the Triangle Choke. We have affectionately named it the A-Hole Escape, because it's what your opponent will most likely call you when you use it on them. Jacen goes over how to go from a locked Triangle Choke to a dominate control position using the A-Hole Escape.

  • Step 1: Start in your opponent's traditional locked triangle choke position.
  • Step 2: Cut your arm across your opponent's chest and  drive your knuckles into the floor.
  • Step 3: Post up with your legs, putting you in a stacking position.
  • Step 4: Bring your leg around and place it on your opponent's neck.
  • Step 5: Pull your arm back, grab your opponent's leg and pull straight up.
  • Step 6: End in a cross body position.

Special notes:

- Be sure to quickly move the knee to the neck after you stack, so your leg doesn't get held.

- Be sure to bring you arm back as soon as you get your angle to avoid the armbar.

- Make sure you come straight up and not at an angle when breaking the hold.

- Looking up as you break the hold should help keep your back straighter.
